Food Industries Polytechnic and United Arab Emirates Food Cluster have signed a cooperation agreement to establish a regional knowledge center in Dubai, during the Future Food Forum 2025.

The agreement was signed by Ibrahim Alegaily, CEO of FIP, and Saleh Lootah, Chairman of the UAE Food Cluster.

The agreement aims to leverage the FIP’s expertise in training and localizing human capital, while enhancing food security sustainability. This will be achieved through the establishment of a specialized center focused on curriculum development, the implementation of modern training programs, and the transfer of expertise in the food industries sector. The initiative is expected to contribute to the preparation of national talent and boost the sector’s competitiveness at the regional level.

Alegaily emphasized that the agreement marks a qualitative step in applying the FIP’s model for workforce development. He noted that the new center in Dubai will provide a platform for knowledge exchange and the development of advanced training programs that support sustainable development pathways.

For his part, Lootah affirmed that the establishment of the center will play a key role in developing competencies and supporting innovation, thereby enhancing the sector’s readiness to meet future challenges in food security.
