Course Overview
This short course is intended to develop and enhance the participants ‘competencies necessary to control and troubleshoot the electrical faults of industrial motors. The training course covers essential skills, including the installation and connection of various types of motors, interpretation of nameplate information to apply the correct voltage, star/delta configurations of 3-phase motors, and function and control techniques of different types of motors. Additionally, participants will learn about variable frequency drives (VFDs) and their applications in the industry.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Interpret nameplate information to apply the correct voltage and control various types of motors, including DC and AC motors.
Select and connect components to operate motors safely, including changing rotation direction for both DC and single-phase motors.
Configure and apply the appropriate voltage for Star and Delta motor setups.
Install and test circuits for three-phase motors using various control methods, including rotary switches, push buttons, and contactors.
Implement automatic Star/Delta control and speed regulation using Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
